Meet Dina Glasofer Founder of Glasofer Educational Consulting

Education: Duke University (B.A.), New York University (M.B.A.)

A former Admission Associate at The Pingry School and Senior Associate Director of Admission at New York University’s Stern School of Business, Dina has unique insights into all aspects of the admissions process. With first-hand experience as a member of selective admission committees, in addition to experience consulting with MBA applicants—many of whom gained admittance to top-ranked business schools—Dina has developed keen insights into how admissions work and what applications stand out. She knows what personal qualities and areas of involvement resonate with admissions officers, and understands how to highlight them throughout the application process. Having also worked for more than 15 years in marketing and strategic branding, both in education and at major Fortune 500 companies, Dina is uniquely positioned to guide clients in communicating their own personal strengths and authentic stories.

Her approach is simple. Dina dedicates the time necessary to truly learn about her clients, not simply their academic interests and goals, but what drives them, what excites them, and what keeps them from reaching their potential. Only then can she help determine the school environments that will allow them to thrive.

In addition to her professional experience, on a personal level, Dina has been through the process of both private secondary school and graduate school admission. And, as a mother of two daughters, she has a deep appreciation for the stress that can accompany major life-stage transitions. With a supportive, compassionate, student-centered approach, her aim is to encourage individual school journeys that will lead to a lifetime of success.

A resident of Westfield, N.J., Dina lives with her husband, daughters, and two playful pups. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, traveling, cooking (Argentine empanadas are her specialty!), and watching hockey, from youth leagues to the New Jersey Devils.

Dina’s philosophy:

At every level, the school admissions process can be complex and stressful, especially with so much information readily available. It can be difficult to know where to begin, what to focus on, and how to determine if a school is a right fit. Dina’s goal is to help demystify the experience and focus on finding the right school for each applicant, with as little stress as possible.

She believes that the admission process should be an enlightening journey of personal growth and self-discovery. By working together, she is committed to helping clients navigate this exciting path, and she pledges to make the process illuminating, informative, and even fun!

Meet Dale Seabury

Education: Wake Forest University (B.S.), Fairleigh Dickinson University (M.B.A.)

A former Assistant Director of Admission and Director of Financial Aid at The Pingry School, Dale draws upon her expertise as an admission interviewer, file reader, and committee member to help applicants present themselves to “best fit" schools in the most authentic, polished ways possible. With her passion for storytelling and strategic marketing—skills honed during her years as Director of Strategic Communications and Marketing at Pingry—Dale employs a gentle yet exacting editing style to guide clients to find their own voices and tell their stories effectively and creatively. Dale deeply values the coaching relationship when it comes to writing. Thanks to her athletic coaching experience with elementary through college-aged students, as well as nearly a decade of insight from serving as an academic advisor to high school students in the independent school environment, she knows how to connect, challenge, and encourage individuals of all ages to express themselves honestly and powerfully...while actually enjoying the process!

Applications, essays, resumes, and cover letters are wonderful opportunities to stand out from the crowd and accomplish specific goals. Through collaboration, Dale encourages clients to simultaneously embrace these projects as opportunities for self-discovery. Decision-making—whether for the first significant time in life as an applicant to an independent school, or down the line for the first job out of college—is an area of great interest for her, and one she views as an opportunity for significant growth and personal insight. Dale empowers clients to approach decision-making as a skill to be honed, applying equal measures of strategy and instinct, realism and optimism. It is a thrilling journey on which to partner, and Dale seeks to offer peace and perspective along the way.

Hailing from the nation’s oldest seaside resort of Cape May and a resident of Parsippany, N.J., Dale lives with her husband and two children. A former certified strength and conditioning coach and novice triathlete, Dale currently enjoys cycling, strength training, and daily strolls to a lake she could swim in, once she musters the resolve. In the meantime, reading, journaling, and Denville Dairy ice cream bring her great joy!

“Dina turned what at first felt like an overwhelming and stressful process into a simple and organized step-by-step path toward reaching my admissions and career goals.”
